As you embark on your artistic journey, here are a couple of interesting facts about the White House that may spark your creativity!
1. The White House has had several name changes throughout its history. It was initially referred to as the “President’s House” or the “Executive Mansion.” However, during President Theodore Roosevelt’s tenure, it officially became known as the White House because of its unique white-painted exterior.
2. The White House is not only a place for official business, but it is also home to various traditions and events that bring joy to both residents and visitors. One of the annual traditions at the White House is the Easter Egg Roll, where children participate in an egg-rolling race and enjoy other fun activities.

Supply List:
To ensure your art session goes smoothly, here’s a list of supplies your budding artists will need:
Pencils: As I learned in college, a good pencil can make a world of difference in your drawing! I personally prefer a slightly softer pencil.
High-quality printer paper: I HARP on this all the time! High-quality paper provides a smooth surface for your students to bring their mirror image drawings to life. Hammermill doesn’t know I exist, but as long as they make such an excellent 32lb paper, I will always recommend them!
Eraser: A stand-alone, kneadable eraser will come in handy when refining their drawings or making corrections.
Colored pencils or markers: Once the mirror image drawings are complete, adding a splash of color will bring vibrancy and depth to the artwork.
>>Remember to use 8.5 x 14-inch printer paper for the best results and a true-to-size experience.<<
